Dear Prospective
Volunteer,
Thank you for expressing an interest in a volunteer position
at the Downtown Pregnancy Center. Those of us who interact
with clients can testify to the privilege and joy that
accompanies such service.
The role of a DPC volunteer is a critical one. Because of
this, we take seriously our responsibility to recruit and
train those whom we believe would be most effective in this
setting. Although this process may seem intense or
overwhelming, the rewards of volunteering at the DPC will be
an opportunity to not only minister to clients but to also
experience personal spiritual growth. Many volunteers have
expressed they are blessed by volunteering because they feel
God is using them to make a difference for eternity!
This application packet will outline the steps necessary for
pursuing a volunteer position with the DPC. Included in this

Special Note: Many of our volunteers have developed a heart for
this ministry because of a personal experience with abortion.
Applicants who also share this experience are asked to attend a
Christian post-abortion Bible study prior to volunteering or within
a reasonable period of time once they have begun working with
clients. Based on our experience, there is great value to attending
such a study prior to beginning service with the DPC.
