Necessity is the mother of invention! Wise words that seem particularly appropriate in a tight economic climate. We often have folks share with us they would like to help in a tangible way, but are not always able to write a check at that particular time. Fortunately, there are many ways you can support our ministry and we thought we would list just a few ideas. We know this list is not comprehensive, so if the Lord puts another idea on your heart, feel free to give us a call….we love creative minds!

Use “Goodsearch” as your search engine. Instead of Google or Ask, try Goodsearch, and each time you search for a person, place of thing, your search can create cash for the DPC! Just go to www.goodsearch.com and put in Downtown Pregnancy Center where it asks who you goodsearch for.

Also, if you plan to do shopping online, you can shop through the Goodsearch website using their service called Goodshop. You can do your shopping from stores like Wal-Mart & Target to Nordstrom & Barnes & Noble and the DPC will receive a percentage of the sale.

In-kind donations are always needed! All baby items: diapers, wipes, baby bath & lotion, formula, maternity clothing, strollers, cribs, infant and toddler clothing and carseats are ALWAYS welcome. We gladly accept new or gently used items (except carseats must be new). The donated baby and maternity items are placed in our Wee Care Shoppe where our clients “shop” for needed items with their Mommy Bucks they earn by coming to educational classes. Other items needed are medical supplies, prenatal vitamins, blood pressure cuff, and scales for our Clinic. And, NIV Bibles and DART daily bus passes are needed for our Client Services area. Our administrative offices and clinic need file cabinets, office supplies, and the entire center needs new flooring.



Services always are welcome. We have offices that need updating and there is remodeling to be done. If you like to paint or would organize a group to spend a day painting, we have walls waiting for you! If you can reupholster or refinish furniture, your services would be appreciated as well. If you can perform an audit, provide legal advice, or have a carpet cleaning service and are willing to donate those services, we can use you. If you have a special talent or gift, give us a call and we’ll put our heads together to see how you can use that ability to help the ministry of the DPC!

Give a GIFT OF HONOR for special occasions. You may make one donation by check or credit card and we will send a beautiful card to each of your honorees letting them know of your donation in their name as your gift for Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays, baby birth acknowledgements, Mother’s Day, etc. You are able to give a gift with double the impact!

Have an automobile that you’re ready to part with? Donate it to Charity Motors. Contact them at www.charitymotors.org. Charity Motors will guarantee you the full, fair-market value tax deduction for your vehicle at the time you donate it. Simply designate the Downtown Pregnancy Center as your preferred charity. They will sell your vehicle, at a discount, to someone in need. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the DPC.

Give a Blanket of Hope to a mother so she can wrap her child in the gospel. Go to www.blanketsofhope.org to see how you can purchase or donate a receiving blanket that shares the message of a “hope and a future” based on the scripture from Jeremiah 29:11. Each blanket comes with the gospel presentation on a separate card. It is a wonderful baby shower gift, Christmas or birthday gift for babies or toddlers, or you may donate a blanket to be used at the DPC to be given to a mom who chooses life. When making a purchase or donation simply select the Downtown Pregnancy Center as your center of support.

The DPC is a 501 (c) (3) as designated by the Internal Revenue Service and donations are tax deductible.
